Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy covers the Sporty website (sporty.live), the Sporty Global app (app.sporty.live), and the Sporty plugin for ChatGPT. Each section below explains which service it covers. The website and app do not share accounts or cookies. This site creates a random session id (scid) and can pass it to the app through /goso Umami can tie the visit together. The ChatGPT plugin does not use that id or require a Sporty account.
Questions: email Sporty atcontact@sporty.live.
This marketing site
sporty.live is a static site. There are no accounts here.
The homepage, how-it-works, watch guides, and the other public pages do not load a Meta pixel, Google Analytics, or X tracking.
We use Umami Cloud for pageviews, visits, and CTA clicks. Every event is tied to a randomscid for the browser session, including visits with no utm_source. The id, source, and original landing page stay in this tab's session storage and in a first-party session cookie (sporty_scid). Choosing Open Sporty goes to/go, which redirects to the app and sends one server-side OpenApp to Umami. Umami does not receive your name or email. Denying a marketing choice does not stop Umami.
The ad page at /lp/sporty-app/ is separate. Meta measurement starts only when the same visit has a Meta click id (fbclid or fbc) andutm_source facebook, utm_medium paid_social, and a validutm_content ad id (letters, digits, _, or -, at most 80 characters). A click id from an earlier visit does not count. Measurement also requires a configured pixel. Its banner says measurement is on unless you choose Not now. Allow closes the banner and records your choice. Not now stops later measurement and records your opt-out. If no pixel is configured, or the visit is not a Meta-ad visit, the page does not load Meta and does not show the banner.
When the visit is a Meta-ad visit, the page loads Meta's browser pixel with automatic button events turned off. It sends a page view. Choosing Open Sporty sends one custom OpenApp event per visit. The server sends that Meta event only for a Meta-ad visit, and never when consent is denied. The server can send it even if the page script has not started. Browser and server events share one event ID. Server events go through /meta/capi. This page does not use/php/capi.php. This page also loads Umami for the site analytics described above, but does not load Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or X. The server report may include the request IP address and browser string. We do not store that IP.
Open Sporty on that page, and every other Open Sporty link on this site, goes to /go, which redirects to the Sporty app and copies the click parameters (fbclid, gclid,utm_*, landing_page, scid, and fbc / fbp when those are already present). We do not invent fbc when there is nofbclid. After measurement starts, Meta may set _fbp and_fbc on sporty.live. Those cookies are not shared with app.sporty.live.
Other /lp/ pages are WeChat ads. They are not the homepage and they are not/lp/sporty-app/. Those pages load their own Meta pixel (ID 1013664284475770) and a request to /php/capi.php only for a Meta-ad visit: the same visit's click id,utm_source facebook, utm_medium paid_social, and a valid ad id. They load X (rdja8) only when the visit has an X click id (twclid on the URL, or a _twclid cookie stored at first touch). They also load Umami and Microsoft Clarity. They do not load Google Analytics. They can store a browser id under sporty_ext_id and set_fbp / _fbc on sporty.live. They do not load a Meta image when JavaScript is off.
The Sporty plugin for ChatGPT
The plugin finds sports fixtures, shows scheduled times in your chosen time zone, and shows broadcast listings for your chosen viewing country. It provides a compact match card in ChatGPT. It does not provide streams or viewing links. You do not need to sign in to Sporty. Your ChatGPT account is managed by OpenAI, not Sporty.
Personal data we receive
- Search information: the search text sent to Sporty, such as a team, sport, or competition name; your chosen display time zone; your viewing country if you supply one; and date filters and page choices. Search text can contain personal data if you include it. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
- Connection information: the caller IP address and request information, such as the time and HTTP headers, handled by our hosting provider. When ChatGPT calls Sporty, the caller IP may belong to OpenAI's infrastructure rather than your device.
- Support information: your email address and any information you choose to send when you contact us.
Sporty receives the arguments sent for a plugin request. It does not request access to your full ChatGPT conversation, ChatGPT account profile, contacts, or files. The plugin does not use GPS or infer your viewing country from an IP address. Viewing country and display time zone are separate choices.
How we use plugin data
- Search text and date filters select fixtures from the current public schedule.
- Your time zone sets the displayed local time. Your viewing country selects relevant channel listings. The result returned to ChatGPT includes these search choices and public match and channel information.
- A temporary caller-IP counter limits requests to help protect the service from abuse. Connection information also lets our hosting provider deliver and secure requests.
- Support information lets us respond to questions and privacy requests.
The plugin and its match card do not set tracking cookies or use browser storage, advertising pixels, or analytics scripts. We do not sell plugin personal data or use it for advertising, profiling, or training AI models. The website analytics described above apply when you visit this website, not to the match card inside ChatGPT.
Who receives plugin data
- Sporty: processes plugin requests and support messages to provide the service and answer you. Our email provider processes support messages for delivery and storage.
- Cloudflare: hosts the plugin service and handles requests, connection information, and service security as our infrastructure provider. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.
- OpenAI: hosts ChatGPT, sends the plugin request to Sporty, and receives the result and match card. OpenAI handles your ChatGPT account, conversations, and plugin use under OpenAI's privacy policyand your ChatGPT settings.
Sporty fetches public fixture and channel-directory data from its own services. Those fetches do not include your search text, viewing country, time zone, or caller IP. The plugin does not send these choices to the website's advertising or analytics providers.
How long plugin data is kept
- Search choices and results: used while processing and returning your request. The plugin does not save them in a database or application log, keep a search history, or store a user session. Search responses are not placed in its shared cache.
- Caller-IP counter: kept only in temporary server memory for an active one-minute rate-limit window. An expired entry is removed during a later request's cleanup or when that server instance ends. An idle instance can retain an expired entry until then. The plugin does not write this counter to a database or application log.
- Public schedule cache: a shared copy of fixture and channel data is cached for 180 seconds. This copy contains no caller IP, search text, or user choices.
- Support messages: kept while your request is open and deleted within 90 days after it is closed. If a specific legal duty requires us to keep a record longer, we keep only that record for the required period.
These limits describe Sporty's plugin processing. OpenAI may retain your conversation and plugin results under its own policy and your settings. Cloudflare may retain infrastructure or security records under its policy. Those records are separate from the plugin's temporary counter and cache; their retention is not the one-minute or 180-second period above.
Your plugin controls
- You can change your search, time zone, and viewing country for each request. You can omit the viewing country. We do not need precise location or sensitive personal data.
- You can stop using or disconnect Sporty in ChatGPT to stop future plugin requests.
- Use ChatGPT's data controls for conversations and account data held by OpenAI, including deleting a chat. Sporty cannot delete OpenAI's copy for you.
- Email contact@sporty.live to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal information Sporty holds, including support messages. There is no Sporty plugin account or stored search history to delete.
The Sporty Global app
The app lives at app.sporty.live. It is a different product.
Sign-in
Sign-in is handled by Supabase.
- Email sign-in is in test.
- Google sign-in is on. We use Google so you can create and open an account.
- Apple, Facebook, and X sign-in are coming. They are not live yet.
What we store if you are signed in
- Last country (ISO-2) and country ranges. Country comes from an IPinfo lookup. It does not come from GPS. We do not store IP addresses in our database.
- How many times you open matches.
- How many times you tap channels. We store the channel id and name. We do not store channel URLs.
- For a tagged group visit, the first
scid, group source, and original landing page. We use these to attribute a new-account registration and confirmed wallet top-ups in Umami. These are separate from Meta ad click IDs.
The public schedule does not require login.
Tapping a channel opens a URL outside the app. We do not play or provide streams. We do not host, proxy, or stream video.
Google user data in the Global app
When you tap Continue with Google, we ask Google for your email address and name (the usual openid, email, and profile scopes). We do not ask Google for your contacts, files, or calendar.
We use that email and name only to create or open your Sporty Global account so you can sign in, open match pages, and tap channels. We do not use Google user data for advertising, data brokers, credit decisions, or to train AI or machine-learning models.
Google user data is stored with our auth provider, Supabase. We do not sell it. We do not share it except as needed to run sign-in (Google and Supabase).
How we protect data
The app and this site use HTTPS. App data is tied to the signed-in account. Other users cannot read your country, match opens, or channel taps.
What we do not do
- We do not use GPS or a device location permission for country.
- We do not store IP addresses in our app database.
- We do not store channel URLs.
- We do not play, host, proxy, or provide in-app video or streams.
- We do not sell personal data.
We use the third parties below for the purposes below.
Website and Global app third parties
- Supabase — authentication for the app.
- Google — OAuth sign-in for the app. This site does not load Google Analytics.
- Meta — on
/lp/sporty-app/unless you choose Not now, and on the separate WeChat ad pages, only for a Meta-ad visit. - X (Twitter) — WeChat ad pages only, and only for an X-ad click. Microsoft Clarity — WeChat ad pages.
- IPinfo — country lookup for the app. We keep country and ranges, not the IP.
- Umami Cloud — site and app analytics. Pageviews, OpenApp, registration, and wallet top-up measurement, each tied to a random session id.
Website and Global app retention
We keep account data and usage counts while the account exists. Umami analytics is Umami Cloud. Marketing pixels follow Meta and X retention. Their records sit with those vendors.
Access and deletion
There is no Sporty self-serve deletion portal. Emailcontact@sporty.live and we will help with access or deletion of the personal data we hold, including account data, a tagged-group ID, and support messages. Analytics at Meta and X is outside our direct control.
Children
This site, the app, and the plugin are not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this page, we will update the date at the top.
